Article & Video: Tracking labor costs using Bill Rate.
Assign Billing Rates to your resources to track Labor costs.
Paid Edition users who are designated as Manager or Owner on a project have the option to assign a Billing Rate to each Resource. Go to the project’s resource tab, and add the column Bill Rate.
The Billing Rate is the hourly rate for the resource. For example, if this Resource’s hourly rate is $30, we would enter the number 30 in this field.
On the Task tab, expose the Bill Rate, Work and Labor cost columns. Note that when I assign this task to the resource, the Bill Rate field is populated. The Labor Cost is calculated using the Bill Rate and Work hours.
